Terms of Use

ShelfReady, by Darius Cirjan

Last updated 3 October 2026

Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you and Darius Cirjan, the developer of ShelfReady ("the app"). By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Apple is not a party to this agreement, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.

What you may do with the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula) also applies to your use of the app. Where these terms and Apple's standard agreement differ, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.

You may use the photos you make with the app for anything you like, including selling the items in them. They are yours. We claim no rights over them.

What you may not do

Do not decompile or reverse engineer the app, work around the subscription, resell or redistribute it, or use it to process photos you have no right to use.

Free use and ads

You can use the app without paying. A free user can process photos, try every background, and save or share up to 3 photos at full quality, the 3 free saves. After that, saving and sharing need a subscription or the lifetime purchase, as does saving a whole batch of photos at once. Saving the same result again does not use another free save. The free saves are counted on your device and are not reset by reinstalling the app.

Free users see ads, including an ad when the app opens and full-screen ads between some steps. Subscribers and lifetime purchasers see no ads. How ads and analytics use data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase

Saving and sharing beyond the free saves, and an app without ads, are unlocked by any of these plans, bought through your Apple Account:

  • Weekly, monthly and yearly subscriptions. Auto-renewable subscriptions at the prices shown in the app before you buy. Prices are set for your country and include any tax Apple collects.
  • Lifetime. A one-time purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks the same features for as long as the app is offered, with nothing to renew and nothing further to pay.
  • Free trial. The weekly subscription includes a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Where a free trial is offered, its length is shown before you subscribe. At the end of the trial the subscription begins and is charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you have already used a free trial for this app, the app tells you it is not available rather than offering it again.
  • Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and your Apple Account is charged for the next period within 24 hours before the current one ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • How to cancel. In iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, or use Settings → Manage subscription in the app. Cancelling stops future charges; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. We cannot cancel it for you, because Apple handles the billing.
  • Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under their terms at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are unable to issue refunds ourselves.

Restoring a purchase

If you reinstall the app or use a new device, Settings → Restore purchases asks Apple whether your Apple Account has an active subscription or the lifetime purchase, and unlocks the app if it does. No account of ours is involved.

Your photos are yours

The app processes your photos on your device and keeps copies in its own storage so you can reopen them. Your photos are never uploaded, and we have no access to them. You can delete those copies at any time in Settings → Storage, and deleting the app removes them entirely.

What the app does not promise

The app finds the item in a photo using Apple's on-device machine learning. It works well on a single item on a plain surface, and it will sometimes fail: a busy background, a very dark photo, or an item that blends into what it is lying on. When it fails, the app says so and offers to let you point at the item. We do not promise a usable result from every photo.

The app is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. We do not promise it will be free of faults or available without interruption.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost sales, lost profit, or lost time, arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may change the app, and these terms, as the app develops. The date at the top changes when the terms do. A change to the subscription's price or what it includes takes effect for a period you have not yet paid for, never retroactively, and Apple notifies you of a price increase and asks you to agree to it before charging you.

If you are a consumer

Nothing in these terms removes rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in, including any right to cancel a purchase within a statutory period. Those rights stand whatever these terms say.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the developer is based, without affecting the consumer rights described above.
